Annie Becker
Annie Becker is a self-taught artist creating sculptures out of soon-to-be discarded, often-times-rusty-and-washed-out, past-their-prime-materials. Her work features humans, animals, robots and other sentient beings. Her artwork is about second chances and new beginnings; it’s about making something out of nothing, and hopefully creating happiness along the way.
Her work has been highlighted in a collaborative project of The Society Of Green Arts regarding the impact of Covid-19 on the artist, and has been accepted into a number of annual juried art shows including the May Show at Lakeland Community College, Figurative/Abstract at Height Arts and was awarded 3D 1st Place for Body of Work at Fairmount Center for the Arts, and received an honorable mention in Create Magazine’s 2021 virtual show. Currently her work is shown in five galleries in Ohio and one in South Carolina.
