Melissa Anderson
Melissa Anderson is a life-long resident of Cuyahoga Falls. Growing up she was inspired by Bob Ross's calming encouragement, Van Gogh's command of color, and Dali's normalization of "weird". She spent a lot of time at Jack Richard's studio on Front Street, surrounding herself with both local art and travelling collections, that engaged her journey as a self-taught artist who aims to create vivid, multi-dimensional artwork to spark the imagination, whimsy and nostalgia in viewers, adults and children alike.
Anderson's mixed media prints and collages are a varied combination of acrylic paint, watercolor, clay, resin, and photography taken in and around Cuyahoga Falls. The paintings are layered and textured using acrylic paint.
