Tim Ebeling started caving in 2010 after graduating with a BFA in Sculpture. After graduating with a MA in Theater Arts in 2013, Ebeling's wood carving became more than a hobby. He picked up this hobby after spending years watching his grandfather design and produce wood carvings and he fell in love with it.

Tim says "each carving is designed, carved and painted in my shop in Ohio.  I use wood scraps from various places to make the carving, but primarily use Pine, Basswood and Poplar, but will use any type of lumber I can get my hands on.  I like to use as much scrap wood and found materials as I can."

Much of Tim's inspiration comes from American and European folk art, as well as his grandfather who was a wood carver as well.
