Barb Everett
I started painting very late in life with no artistic training other than “ a good eye.” My best friend taught art at the local senior center and taught me basics and a love of painting.
I’m now a passionate artist. I paint daily, and, if I'm not painting, I’m practicing skills, or watching You Tube videos to learn new techniques .I find I learn best in my painting groups with professionals in Marblehead and Venice , FA.
My degree Is in education, but I have also worked in retail management. My strength in both occupations is the creativity I bring to the table. I think the same is true for my art. While I think every painting has a technical side as well as a creative the imaginative is most important to me. color, movement and texture are important to my work.
I am inspired by my grandchildren, cities, the beauty of our planet, and the people who inhabit it. I also like to do abstracts to push my creative intuitive limits.
I love paintings with energy that connects with people and make them smile. Creating a painting that is my heart and soul in 2D is my goal. I have succeeded a few times and will continue to aim for this. Those paintings are truly a Celebration of life.
