Beverly Booher
Beverly Booher says "I have had a love of art and photography ever since I can remember. My interest in glass/bead mixed media began when a friend gifted me three boxes of unwanted mosaic tile. I began dabbling in mosaic and got hooked." Beverly adds "my ideas revolve around color and texture. The imperfections in natural tesserae such as glass, tile and pottery remind me of the imperfections in all of us, and those imperfections make my pieces unique and one of a kind. There are many steps that go into my art, including design, implementation, gluing, grouting, polishing and top coating; each step evolving in a new and different layer added to an art piece. For me, there is no greater satisfaction than bringing joy to a client and knowing others will display my art with love."
Most recently, Beverly's mosaic work has been included and sold in the Skull and Skeleton Show held annually at Lakeland Community College. Many pieces of her work is on display on the walls in the gardens of Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN. Three of her photographs hang in the halls of the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital in Martha’s Vineyard. She has also had photographs published in “Yankee” and “Power and Yacht” magazines.
